Dr. Rebecca “Becky” Cobb is helping shape the future of teletherapy interventions through her scholarship, leadership, and collaboration with fellow members of the Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT). By bringing together diverse clinical voices—many of whom contributed to her edited volumes—she has advanced creative, systemic approaches to effective online care.

Her recent books, The Therapist’s Notebook for Systemic Teletherapy: Creative Interventions for Effective Online Therapy (published in summer 2025) and The Therapist’s Notebook for Teletherapy with Children and Adolescents (published in January 2026), offer practical tools for clinicians navigating virtual spaces. She is also contributing to the third edition of An Introduction to Marriage and Family Therapy, continuing her impact on training future therapists.

Dr. Cobb’s work has been featured in Westmont Magazine and Family Therapy Magazine (where she is an alum), and highlighted on the AAMFT podcast, reflecting growing recognition of her contributions. In addition, she serves as Chair of the AAMFT Telehealth and Technology Topical Interest Network, helping guide the field’s ongoing integration of technology and systemic practice.

Through her leadership and collaborative focus, Dr. Cobb continues to expand what’s possible in teletherapy—equipping clinicians with innovative, accessible ways to connect with clients online.
