We are excited to announce the call for proposals for our upcoming annual conference, "Embracing Complexity: Navigating with Curiosity in Focus," hosted by WAMFT. This year, we're delving deep into the intricate dynamics of contemporary relational systems and the evolving landscape of therapeutic practice, and we want YOU to be a part of it!

Conference Theme: "Embracing Complexity: Navigating with Curiosity in Focus" invites therapists from all backgrounds to explore the multifaceted nature of systemic therapy. From navigating intersectionality to modernizing modalities and embracing discomfort, our conference will offer a platform for innovative ideas and insightful discussions.

Tracks and Distinctions: We have three dynamic tracks for you to explore:

  1. Intersectionality: Dive into the intersections of various identities within family dynamics.

  2. Modernizing Modalities: Explore innovative approaches and techniques for contemporary family therapy.

  3. Embracing Discomfort: Learn strategies to navigate discomfort and foster growth in clients and families.

Special Considerations: In light of the USA presidential election year, we encourage proposals that address the unique stressors and opportunities that arise within families and communities during this time. Additionally, a focus on social justice and keeping the client's needs in focus is paramount.

Why Submit a Proposal?

  • Showcase your expertise and contribute to the advancement of the field.

  • Connect with fellow therapists and engage in meaningful discussions.

  • Gain recognition and exposure within the community.

Workshop & Submission Info:

  • Workshops will be 45-50 minutes in length

  • Submissions should be submitted here by June 28th, 2024.
