About the Event
Session Description
This workshop presents the modernization and expansion of EFT’s framework for assessing and fostering resilience in larger systems across diverse structures and contexts. Attendees will review foundational concepts across EFT modalities as well as key process differences between couple and family EFT. The EFT CARE model guides therapists to increasing the relevance and impact of attachment based experiential intervention to diverse family forms and contexts. Participants will learn the CARE model to guide assessment and understand the unique strengths and challenges across personal and family identity, attachment history, culture, trauma, marginalization, and more. The change event that marks the end of Stage 1 of EFFT is caregiver openness and availability. Participants will learn the research-based process of eliciting caregiving intent that leads to this change.
