About the Event
Session Description
This presentation will be facilitated by Antioch University Seattle CFT Program professors and will feature five Masters of Arts candidates currently or historically enrolled in the Person of the Therapist track of Antioch University Seattle a COAMFTE accredited Couples and Family Therapy program. Presenters will open the conversation with their understanding of the Person of the Therapist concept of Signature Theme and how this concept impacts their clinical and academic work. Next, the panel will discuss how the academic rigor and personal examination of this model enhance the beginning of the development process of becoming a couples and family therapist. Finally, the panel will conclude with a discussion of how bracketing space for Signature Themes creates training space for clinicians to fully bring themselves into the therapeutic space.
