Get to Know Amira Whitehill
Amira Whitehill, MA, LMFT is Secretary of the WAMFT Board of Directors and is new to the board this year. She has served on WAMFT’s legislative committee since January 2017 and has been licensed as a marriage and family therapist in Washington State since 2015. In her private practice, Amira works with adults and adolescents struggling with issues related to job stress, work / life balance, and anxiety. Amira is also currently enrolled in Antioch University’s doctoral program in Counseling Education and Supervision and is an adjunct instructor in the Couples and Family Therapy department at Antioch. As of this past January, Amira also serves as member of the working group tasked with deciding the clinical implications and best practices resulting from the Volk decision.
